Rochester Broadway Theatre League

Stars of Tomorrow recognizes the high school musical in true Tony® Award fashion. The program is dedicated to supporting the process of growth and learning, encouraging commitment, discipline and teamwork, and recognizing excellence. This innovative program made its debut to the greater Rochester area in 1999, with the main intent of bringing long overdue recognition to the high school musical and its performing arts students. High schools in a nine-county area with fall and spring productions are invited to participate in the program. Schools are divided into four divisions based on school populations and judges are assigned specific divisions. Areas of concentration are scored, and recognition awards were given to schools with the highest scores within each category at the gala ceremony held May 13, 2010. A second event, Stars of Tomorrow NYC Bound, held June 6, 2010, is this event where the leading male and female students are selected to represent RBTL at the NHSMTA event in NYC.
